Hello, my name is Amanda Pickett.  I was born and raised in  Flower Mound, an area of North Texas near Dallas.  For as long as I can remember, I've always had a love for drawing and my passion for art increases every day.

Drawing led to hours of internet browsing in search of drawing references.  That was how I got introduced to anime and cosplay (costume play) about 7-8 years ago.  I'm so fascinated by the idea of turning a 2-D character into a real garment that I get to dress up in!  It's so much fun to figure out the patterns and textiles that go into each piece, and it's especially exciting to add in my own designer touches to make my cosplay more unique.

Currently I'm enrolled at the University of North Texas as I work towards a degree in Communication Design.  I'm a junior right now, but I'm moving my way on up.  When I'm not busy with college work, I divide my time up pretty evenly between sewing and drawing and I'm loving every minute of it!  I can't wait to see my style evolve more and more as I continue to work.
